IT RAINED ALL WEEK LONG!!! :(
Mom and Dad!
11 more days until I see y'all! YAY!
So this week has been crazy!! We had our final field training exercise. It was 4 days and 3 nights. It ended with us getting to crawl 100+ meters with live rounds being shot at us while it was dark. Lots of adrenaline and no standing up lol. But it made me appreciate what all is happening overseas and how much work and planning happens during a deployment. It also made me appreciate dry socks/boots and showers. I'm 100% sick of MRE's. That's the majority of what we ate and after awhile it's just nasty.
We got our tailored ASU's back and they lost my trouser pants. So when we had to try them on to show the Drill Sgts. to make sure they fit, me and one other girl had to wear our skirts. Our ugly pilgrim dress skirts. Soooo hopefully our pants are found...
I 100% started considering West Point just because it would be so easy for me to get in now that I'm "prior service". Morgan would be way too happy with me on the east coast, but who knows!
I'm just really hyped for this coming week because it means that I only have to live with 60 females for 12 more days and 2 of those days are spent with y'all at grad and family day! and then I get my phone too, so that'll be nice.
Your letters still make me happy, (along with everyone else), but after Tuesday or Thursday, no one should send anymore. I don't want random letters chilling here because they didn't make it in time.
Love y'all sooooo much. I'll see ya soon! Stay safe.
Love, Chloe
p.s. I'm never claiming I'm Canadian again. I'm way too patriotic now. Sorry Dad. Much love.

Mom and Dad,
22 DAYS! Until Family day! Crazy soon.
But I don't have a whole lot to say. Today we got to practice tactical movements ave blow off a bunch of live rounds and blanks. So that was fun.
How was DECA? We, (Bri and I) loved the post cards!I miss it. But I'm glad that people made it to ICDC! That's way exciting.
Is the diet still going good? 2lbs. Is exciting. But something I've learned here is that it's not the weight you should focus on cutting, it's the fat. Muscle weighs 5x more than fat. And it's like 1/4 the size. I think the 5x is overkill but that is what we're told. So cut the fat, turn it to muscle and it'll look good. also you have to "shock" your body. Change the way you work out, the intensity and the pace. It'll make make your body burn more calories.
Thank you for all you do for me. All of the sorry. Love y'all and see you soon!
Love, Chloe
P.s. it was nice to hear everyone on Sunday! Hopefully in Blue Phase we get more than like 10 min. (They never actually give us 10...:( )

Mom and Dad,
I've finally realized how close I am to being done! Less than a month left and we stop training on (around) the 13th. Our last APFT is on the 7th, we got our dress uniform today (well fitted for it), and we have 2 to 3 more training events. Only 2 out of 3 are grad requirements. Soooooo allllllmost there. Time Flies!
Yesterday, I shot a grenade launcher and a machine gun. Needless to say, I felt pretty freaking awesome. But it makes you realize how quickly 100 rounds goes on the SAW. Tomorrow and Saturday, we are qualifying with grenades. And I can't throw for crap so that should be interesting but fun.
We kicked up the PT and now I'm always sore. Yay. Hopefully it makes us hae higher PT scores. Our platoon is tied for first on highest overall average PT score. Our Drill Sgt. taught a lesson on physical activity and nutrition today and apparently we (as female soldiers) burn around 3,500 calories a day. Explains why I'm always so hungry. But I watch what I eat. I tried to cut out carbs for a few days AND that did NOT work out. Dead tired all day.
One of the female Drill Sgts told us toay that we're not allowed to wear make-up on grad Day. HA! She's funny. I'm wearing makeup. No arguments there.
I finally got mail from like the one person I wanted to hear from. It made me so happy. Your mail makes me smile too though. It really means a lot to me that you take the time to write me. I love getting your sticker covered letters.
lol, so even smaller world. The kid that goes to USU? Yeah so he was in that military science class that I dropped. And, he had a class with Mitch (so the class right before me with my favorite professor) So I saw him everyday. and Yes mom, the Ryan Shagaun is in 3rd Platoon in my Battery. SMALL WORLD! I miss y'all and will see you soon!
XOXO Chloe
